I became the Pokémon League Champion today. Lance was amazed by my power.

Since becoming Champion I have been racing through Kanto. From the original Gold Version, I remembered Kanto taking a really long time to beat…like, at least as long as the Johto portion of the game. Replaying it via HeartGold Version now though, Kanto has gone by really, really quickly! I already have 6 of the 8 Kanto badges!
So I guess I just had a different perception of how long the Kanto part of the game was when I was younger. It’s still an enjoyable segment, there are a lot of trainer battles so that seems to make my party level up very quickly as well.
My core party members are all around level 50 now…though you will see an Eevee in my party below that I am working on evolving into an Espeon, the last Eevee evolution I need for my Pokédex.
You might also note that I apparently caught over 100 Pokémon since my blog post just yesterday! Kanto is a gold mine of new Pokémon to catch.
