Back with another Pokémon Heart Gold update! As you can (or will shortly) see, I have updated my method of generating these blog posts, and they now include current party and PC box information! Including Pokémon pictures!
I’m happy about that. I learned more about Jekyll in this process, more specifically kramdown, which I believe is the default/most common way to have Jekyll render Markdown1. I’m not positive. But, the point is, I was able to copy much of the HTML markup from my other generation method (the result of which you can see here, unless I’ve taken that page down…in which case I apologize). Tweaked a few styles where they were not playing nice with the Pixyll theme on my blog, and that was it!
I’m almost done rambling here, I promise.
In HeartGold, I’m currently making my way to the Pokémon League! I’ve gathered the 8 Johto badges. I’m pretty sure the Pokémon League comes next. But hey, the last time I played this generation was Pokémon Gold on the Nintendo Gameboy, so I could be wrong.
That’s all I have to say for this one, scroll on down to see my party and scroll waaaay down to see all the Pokémon I’ve caught!

The main thing I learned about kramdown, you can have HTML within your Markdown and it just works. There’s finer settings you can adjust (what level of parsing kramdown will do within HTML tags I believe) but my current Jekyl configuration seemed to handle it just fine without adjustments. ↩
